Maybe even a "beep" sound in-sync to when the initial switch is blinking, and then using either the computer voice or some other UI element to lead to do something next. Even something simple like a small addition to the initial computer audio "Auxillary power enabled, configure ship controls in order to initialize communications link, then press MAIN control button"
