Spacebar swipe to move cursor sometimes moves per letter, sometimes per word?

Sometimes when I swipe left/right on the spacebar, it will move the cursor letter-by-letter, but sometimes (randomly?) it will move the cursor to the next start/end of a word, and it's impossible to make it move into the middle of a word.

Is there a setting or other logic that determines this, or should I open a big report?

It should always move a certain number of letters. When you move slowly, it's letter by letter, when you move fast it can be more than one.

Ah ok, definitely a bug then. I'll file a report and try to take a screen capture next time I notice it happening.
