Project status

Hi,

Firstly, this question comes with absolutely no sense of expectation or entitlement whatsoever. Just trying to better understand the direction of the project.

I'm looking to implement carousels on some new websites and having reviewed all of the ones I can find, Splide still comes out on top. I do notice however, that v4 has been inactive in terms of commits for around 6 months, and the v5 branch dormant since December 2022. There is a bunch of open PR's and a growing 'issues' list as the project has obviously gained popularity (nearly 4k stars!).

I'm just wondering if the intent is to continue supporting v4 or move entirely to v5, or even to put the project on hiatus?

Thanks to @NaotoshiFujita again for the work on this plug-in, regardless of what the outlook is, and I hope it continues to be viable long into the future :)
