Provide direct links for issuers that allow investors to purchase shares online through their transfer agent's websites. This feature will streamline the process for investors looking to buy shares and enhance the overall user experience of the WhyDRS Database.

Tasks:

  • Identify and compile a list of issuers that support online share purchases via transfer agents.
  • Add a new field or section in the database entries to store the transfer agent's website URL.
  • Update the user interface to display these links prominently for relevant issuers.
  • Ensure that the links are tested and verified to direct users to the correct transfer agent websites.
  • Implement validation to handle cases where an issuer does not offer online share purchases.
  • Update the database import and update scripts to include transfer agent links where available.
  • Document the new feature and provide guidelines for maintaining the links.

Expected Outcome:

  • The WhyDRS Database includes direct links for issuers that facilitate online share purchases through transfer agents.
  • Investors can easily navigate to the appropriate websites to buy shares, making the database more practical and user-friendly.
  • Enhanced functionality supports the goal of providing comprehensive and accessible investment information.
