@brooklynrob raised the question of whether "OSPO" is a wrong-headed term. It suggests that Open Source is a project or program that can be ended, as opposed to something that is baked into the organisation. Also, it suggests something that can be excised when a budgetary need arises.

@brooklynrob The Program bit in OSPO is there as commonly it executes multiple programs to improve open source competency within an organization. Maybe we should explain this better as TODO group on ospodefinition.org.
In Europe several companies use Open Source Office or Open Source Centre of Excellence instead of the term OSPO.
I believe that there is a rise in rebranding the term "OSPO" for Open Source Program Office, but I am doubtful that will happen anytime soon. Maybe we just bring this up as a topic in an OSR meeting and then just close out this issue. I dont think this warrants a lot of time right now. @robmoffat
