With the recent announcement for the Emulator on Linux we should look into supporting this. Here is the highly voted community feedback item for the emulator itself: https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/idea/277b3add-0d25-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f0858, so I think this would be a great feature to add sooner than later.
