New minor release 2.8.2?

Right now we are at version 2.8.1 for the mail gem:

Released on February 03, 2023 (388 KB),
so about ... 20 months ago or so.

Would it be possible to release a new minor 2.8.2 version? Not sure if there is a
release policy or so. Anyway, this issue can be closed; it was more of a question.

(I guess I can always build a new gem from the github sources here, but I kind of
want to flow with the official upstream momentum - makes it easier to maintain
any diverse code base if one follows upstream.)
