What do you mean non-interactively?

  • run all cells from the menu (do we need maybe a FAQ entry for this)
  • we should audit that every notebook can be run all cells and somehow hide/mark any interactive cells where such a run would otherwise stop?

originally meant in a way that would run a long-running notebook without the SMCE culling the user. Not sure if this has an updated answer, but there was discussion some months ago about adding a button which would take a notebook and automatically convert it to a script and run the script. Not sure if there is a current plan for users to be able to run long-running notebooks.

Ahh, ok, so then this is both documentation and adding significant technical enhancements

They can be separate issues, for this repo, the issue is need of documentation for current best practice. I just don't know what that current best practice should be until that button becomes available.
