Add the ability to switch between several environments on the host

When we package several environments (one by one) in rpm (or deb) and install them on the same host, it is not very convenient to always set the --cfg option to use a particular environment. Seems like it would be useful to provide the ability to centrally select an environment and switch between them on the host.
